Annually in June our club does a “Ride for Mom”, the goal of which is to raise money for CancerCare MB. We are very proud to state that over the last four years the Ride for Mom has raised over $54,000, all of which was turned over to CancerCare MB to be used at their discretion in the research and treatment of cancer in this Province.
This year, due to Covid-19, there was not an actual Ride for Mom, however despite that, the Eastman ATV Club has instead decided to launch a Ride for Mom Campaign to raise funds. The Ride for Mom Campaign will run from September 15 th toOctober 31 st , 2020, after which all donations will be turned over to CancerCare MB. I am asking you to consider making a donation for this very worthy cause. All donations in any amount are more than welcome and tax receipts will be issued by CancerCare MB for any donation over $15. We have several easy options available to assist you with your donation:
Cancer is a devastating disease that touches our hearts deeply, as we all have loved ones and friends that it has impacted in the past, is doing so right now and unfortunately will do so again in the future. However, your donation helps enable ongoing cancer research, which equates to new cutting-edge treatments and drugs, which in some cases translates into cures or longer life expectancies.
Once again, thanks very much for supporting this very worthy cause. Its people like you that make a difference.

Please continue to be aware of 2 Meter Physical Distance This is the same for stops you make during a ride, give more room than normal.
We had our AGM and then a ride after, temperature on the trail was T-shirt weather, same with our Seddons Corner ride. We are seeing a lot of Eastman ATV T-shirts being worn, it looks good!
SEPTEMBER RIDE CHANGE ALERT Our next ride is September 1th, we have changed the ride, the start point is the Woodridge staging area, more details coming in the September Ride Update.
Many of us have enjoyed a good riding season so far this year, the June ATV Ride for Mom was cancelled due to Covid 19 and along with that our opportunity to collect for Cancer Care Manitoba. The ATV RIDE for MOM is still of great interest to our community, what are we doing this year? I’ve been asked a number of times, some members have been raising money for CancerCare Manitoba and we want to share some ideas with you as to how we can all help. We are doing a simple fundraiser, through members, friends and families. We want to make this as easy as possible to make it successful for you & our community to help CancerCare Manitoba. Stay tuned….More details coming. All donations are 100% to CancerCare Manitoba.
The ATV Ride for Mom is a committee of Eastman ATV and this event gives a growing purpose to our organization. This event is becoming more recognized every year, it’s both an important cause and great family ride all in one.
We continue to have rides for members only, we allow members to invite a guest or 2 for the next ride and we will continue to send an email to 2020 members before each ride, one week or so before the ride to confirm ride details. Membership is annual look at our Events tab at our website for updated information on Rides. Join for $45 a year to Join Eastman ATV and get your Membership and Voluntary Trail Pass decal. https://eastmanatv.com/product/membership-2020
Be aware some members are in the high risk Covid 19 category. Please respect Physical Distance.
In light of Covid-19, we think the responsible action is to cancel the 2020 ATV Ride for Mom. We considered having it at a later date but found it challenging to find an appropriate date that wouldn’t interfere with already established ATV fundraising rides. We have our wind-up ride in the fall and to squeeze in the “Ride for Mom” in the same time frame, would be a disservice to the cause. We want to respect all our participants and volunteers for the “Ride for Mom” in that we know you may have high risk people in your daily life and want them to stay safe. We hope you understand, we all need to do our part to prevent the spread and are asking you to wait a year, June 5, 2021.
Eastman ATV stays committed to running safe family events, to continued trial development and our future together. We are currently working through the details to sign a new trail expansion and expect the new trail will be open this summer.

Hello and a big thank you to everyone who came out including rider’s, sponsors, vendors and volunteers for the 4th Annual ATV Ride for Mom. We greatly appreciate your desire to support CancerCare Manitoba while enjoying a day on the trail. In talking with riders through the day they said the parking went without a hitch, registration was a breeze and the trail was amazing. So thank you to the riders for letting us know what you liked or didn’t. We want to hear from you to make the event bigger and better next year so we need to know what you want.
It’s very clear we made a big mistake for lunch and we whole heartedly apologize for the long line and wait for the lunch. We have never had that before so we absolutely know how to fix it and we will. Everyone was so patient and said the delay was ok. We know it’s absolutely not right and you all were too gracious to complain. Next year we will give you a great lunch with little wait to no wait the way it has been before. We will refine a plan before the next ride and we will report back to you. We know we have to provide additional enjoyment to make it up to you.
Our ride was much bigger than last year in numbers and especially donations and money raised for CCM.
|Sponsors dollars supporting||$6600|
|Money collected for CCM still coming in…..||$20,000|
|Volunteers sponsors & vendors||55|
|People in attendance||701|
We are truly excited about the big increase in collections as that’s the point of this entire event to raise more money for CCM every year. So congratulations to all the riders collecting pledges, volunteers making this happen, and all our sponsors’ that made this event possible!

Sponsors and dealers help make this event a success through their funding and participation and we value their support. We are excited that we reached our goal for this event. With the help of the ATV community and others we were able to raise $9257 for CancerCare Breast Cancer. And this makes our 3 year total: $31441!!
