ATV Ride for Mom – Jun.3 – POSTPONED

Unfortunately the ATV Ride for Mom has been postponed to October 14th.

Level One Restrictions are still in place with no backwoods travel as the risk of fire is too high.

We look forward to a safe event on Saturday October 14.

If you are still looking to ride this weekend, please check both HERE and with the RM you are riding in.
There are many other trail systems that have fire bans and/or backcountry travel bans.

Did you enjoy the ATV Ride for Mom?

The main reason we have this event is to raise awareness for Breast Cancer, and to financially support Cancer Care Manitoba. This was our 5th successful ATV Ride for Mom. We have one last thing to do before starting to prepare for next year.

Each year we want to provide the same or more funding to Cancer Care Manitoba so that we can be considered a reliable Provincial partner by providing a stream of revenue. This year we have had a generous donation from the Manitoba Metis Federation for $5,000 dollars to CCM. A big Thank you to Manitoba Metis Federation. You are a good friend of ours, and of Cancer Care Manitoba. Now it’s the ATV communities turn to match this $5,000 dollar donation. We are over half way there, with about $3,000 in personal donations, for Cancer Care Manitoba , through Eastman ATV. Please go to our website and make a donation or mail us a cheque for Cancer Care Manitoba, to fight the battle against Breast Cancer. Cancer Care Manitoba has made enormous wins and is such a wonderful help for so many families in the hardest of times. It is one of the best foundations to support!

Eastman ATV 2022 ATV Ride for Mom – Registration – OPEN

Eastman ATV 2022 ATV Ride for Mom registration is now open at :

https://atvrideformom.com/
https://eastmanatv.com/product/2022-ride-for-mom-registration

Here is your 2022 ATV Ride for Mom day.

On Saturday June 4th, the ride will start east of Marchant MB. There will be signs on the highway and a flag man at the turn off. You will drive until we flag you or you see how the parking is flowing in front of you. Unload, pick up your registration pack, sign the consent form, and enjoy the great scenic trail. It is a gorgeous morning ride, that travels escarpment to low lands and back up to our Eastman staging area!

Lunch break will take place after about 3 hours of riding to lunch stop.  “Danny’s Whole Hog” will be serving a few options for lunch. Our sponsors will have equipment on show, which will be mixed with general parking at the lunch area. This will open up the area and give us more freedom to move around.

Remember to bring some cash as:
1) vendors may have some product for sale,
2) 50/50 tickets will be for sale, and
3) Eastman ATV will have ATV Ride for Mom garments on sale.

The lunch break will also include music, and ATV talk, along with myself “talking up” our sponsors. I will have a few guest speakers again, informal but worthwhile. The ride back will be somewhat shorter, but still a good ride. We have a new version of the “Pink Picture Frame Photo”. It now includes your machine in the photo! I know it’s going to be a great experience this year and hope to see you there.

Please book before June 2, to make it easier for volunteer leaders to make their plans. The more we can plan in advance, the better the event we can deliver. We continue to learn each year on ways to improve the event for you, the rider. Please register online ASAP, as June 4th is soon approaching. We, the volunteers, appreciate it if you can register online well before the day of the event.  It is a rain or shine ride, so please don’t wait to see what the weather has in store for you. Just be ready to go, everybody’s going!  Plan on only bringing what you need for the morning, and afternoon. As always, this ride group has been amazing with “pack it in, pack it out”: (take out whatever you brought into the trail & area). Please be aware that on June 3, the price will increase on all registrations.

Wear Pink! “Pink your Ride” ATV Ride for Mom  brings awareness and funding for Breast Cancer from Cancer Care Manitoba. Enjoy the opportunity to be flamboyant.

One small request, please; When you ask your friends to join you for The ATV Ride for Mom, please encourage them to make a pledge to Cancer Care Manitoba.  Raising money for Cancer Care Manitoba, in the fight against breast cancer, will turn  an enjoyable ride day into a fabulous ride day.  After all, that is what this day is all about. Making a pledge is easily accomplished at the same site that you use to register for the ride. 100% of the Pledges go to Cancer Care Manitoba.

Eastman ATV October Ride Update

Our riding season is still looking nice, the Seddon’s Corner ride last Saturday was great, 30 machines 2 groups, it’s turning out to be a great fall riding season!  Having the trails closed due to fire hazards for most of the summer  was frustrating, but we were able to achieve very close to the original number of rides scheduled, a big thank you to our Ride Director and support team. We are all grateful to have 2 more rides this fall, we hope.

Contact Roland rfillion@eastmanatv.com and get your tickets for the Eastman wind up. Bring a friend, bring your family, we need to know steak or chicken for the meal. We are also putting a one time order in for hoodies, freezer jackets, hats whatever the majority want, send me your request and I can advise costs and information deidse@eastmanatv.com

The ATV Ride for Mom is a committee of Eastman ATV,  ATV Ride for Mom has raised over $64,000  for Cancer Care Manitoba over the past 5 years, this is a sustainable purpose for our organization.    We are organizing 2022, please consider helping out.  Eastman ATV continues to look for like minded members to  become active with our board or committees.

I want to stop and say ” Thank You” to our greater community, there are many people who are not current club members who do big and little things to support Eastman ATV. It’s an enjoyable experience to be a part of the great people who make this organization in and around the club. The volunteer work for Eastman ATV is very rewarding in many ways as we continue our growth.

Eastman ATV May Update

Take a look at the attached statistics for ATV and motorcycle sales growth last year versus this year. It starts out with motorcycle sales, eventually it gets to ATV sales if you are interested it shows a striking change.

On the ground it means more of us out on trails, and if we use the momentum to organize we can expand our safe and responsible riding areas. We understand it’s going to take sustainable tenacity to see our way through an expansion of our current trail. The fact is the trail we call the expansion is a trail that is there already, that we would like to maintain to make it safer and in compliance with the Provincial ORV Trail Manual. We will continue to work with the local RMs and our partners to plan for the future. We look forward to working with the Province again in a productive manner as we once did. All very very nice people in government, but we have had zero progress for any trail expansions large or small. We are all volunteers, we greatly appreciate your continued support. Having more people talking with their provincial representative is what I encourage you to do. We are good stewards of Crown land, this shines through with our excellent track record in managing the trail.

Membership
For 2021 we have 127 membership purchases as of April 30th, that is the same as all of 2020. Please support your riding area. Please spend the same as 1/2 tank of gas for yearly support of your trails. Join the many people that see the $45 online, for membership at https://eastmanatv.com/product/membership-2021  as your choice to improve your trails. All members receive a “Membership / Voluntary Trail Pass” decal, 2021 Eastman ATV Membership card, and an official Eastman ATV Trail map.
I finally have caught up on the 2021 membership listing and email group. If you are a 2021 member you should have received one email with the attached Ride Schedule. You will continue to receive ride update information throughout the season.

Eastman ATV Group Scheduled RSVP Rides
Currently 10 person maximum outdoor restriction.
We are hopeful that we may be able to ride in groups of 10, when 10 people arrive, the group leaves. We have a couple of large parking lots to accommodate vehicles and a good& number of radios. I will send an update a week or so before the next scheduled ride and we will have a more accurate description for members. Please remember to RSVP Group Ride, that will be a normal requirement as headcount is critical for the season I expect.

ATV Ride for Mom
Experienced letter writers: we need your help, to lobby the provincial government, in order to get a safer route for our growing event. We can raise serious money for CancerCare Manitoba if we provide the proper venue. The Manitoba ORV Community, fueling this fundraising event, has raised $100,000 so far. It is growing into an iconic Manitoba ATV Event. Help take the ATV Ride for Mom into the future.

We look forward to Saturday, June 4th, 2022 let’s make it BIG!

I can’t help saying thank you to all the people I have had the pleasure of talking to over the last months. You feel like a very big family to me, Thank you.
