2020 Ride For Mom Canceled

In light of Covid-19, we think the responsible action is to cancel the 2020 ATV Ride for Mom. We considered having it at a later date but found it challenging to find an appropriate date that wouldn’t interfere with already established ATV fundraising rides. We have our wind-up ride in the fall and to squeeze in the “Ride for Mom” in the same time frame, would be a disservice to the cause. We want to respect all our participants and volunteers for the “Ride for Mom” in that we know you may have high risk people in your daily life and want them to stay safe. We hope you understand, we all need to do our part to prevent the spread and are asking you to wait a year, June 5, 2021.

Eastman ATV stays committed to running safe family events, to continued trial development and our future together. We are currently working through the details to sign a new trail expansion and expect the new trail will be open this summer.

Eastman ATV March 2020 Update

Our 2020 Rides & Events Schedule

Eastman ATV is looking forward to an eventful riding season. A ride update, will be posted on our website approximately a week before each ride, in order to remind and to confirm that the ride is indeed taking place.
Our pre-ride group (who ride the route beforehand), might decide that the route requires a few changes and therefore, new paths are discovered. These rides are always enjoyable.  Having riders drive through the route beforehand allows for a larger group, on ride day, to travel at a manageable pace with planned stops. Please feel free to inquire about riding along on the pre-ride, which will double your rides this year to a grand total of sixteen.

Your support allows us, as a group, to continue building and maintaining ATV trails. We are grateful for you support. We have members who have been with Eastman for a number of years and feel that these individuals deserve recognition for their years of support. As a small token of appreciation, we represent these individuals as the gold foundation on our logo

Eastman ATV February 2020 Update

Service equipment – Renewal

What should you be doing now for preparing for spring riding? Get done what you can get done now, plan the rest and the rides are more enjoyable.

Make sure your registration and insurance are up to date and a copy in your ORV.

Of course see your service manual but in most cases you should change your oil and service your air filter before 1st spring ride for sure.  If running through winter off and add a little gas line antifreeze if it’s outside overnight at all and run premium fuel.

If its not running well and you don’t know why bring it in now for service, or make your service plan so you can enjoy the full riding season.

Having a reliable running machine when you’re riding in areas that have no cell service can become critical. For safety considerations I strongly encourage enjoying the benefits of a well serviced machine. Get it done now.

We continue to evolve as an organization and I ask that you come be part by can renew your membership online. Membership can be about the club or the trail.

Eastman ATV December 2019 Update

Happy Holidays

The New Year is fast approaching and we are planning for 2020.  We are hearing people want to be more involved, thank you for wanting to step up, consider joining a committee or helping with the ATV Ride for Mom, there is something for everyone.

We had a great time at the Wind Up and raised $2,300. We sold 93 tickets so right there for the 1st annual, that’s a hit! It was really nice to see everybody that came out, the door prizes were enjoyed and good entertainment. Dave Lee was awarded for 10 years of incredible service to the ATV community.  Thanks again Dave for your service with Eastman ATV. We will put The Wind Up on our calendar for next year so come join your extended family or bring your own. A big thanks to Eastman ATV friends and members for coming out! Thanks to everyone who helped and supported the Wind Up, we are grateful.

Our Trail Director now has formed a committee as the development and maintenance is becoming a larger consideration for the club as we expand our system.

To better use volunteer time we will add a Ride Committee to our board with its own director and club members helping out. We had many great rides this past summer and we are already looking forward to next year.

Ontario is considering making roads more accessible to ORV see this… CLICK

The 1st ride of 2020 will remain an open ride to members and non-members. This ride we really appreciate the support of experienced club members to help out. It can be a lot of fun with many new riders or new to organized ridding learning new ridding practices.

The 2019 ATV Ride for Mom Thanks You…

Hello and a big thank you to everyone who came out including rider’s, sponsors, vendors and volunteers for the 4th Annual ATV Ride for Mom. We greatly appreciate your desire to support CancerCare Manitoba while enjoying a day on the trail. In talking with riders through the day they said the parking went without a hitch, registration was a breeze and the trail was amazing. So thank you to the riders for letting us know what you liked or didn’t. We want to hear from you to make the event bigger and better next year so we need to know what you want.

It’s very clear we made a big mistake for lunch and we whole heartedly apologize for the long line and wait for the lunch. We have never had that before so we absolutely know how to fix it and we will.  Everyone was so patient and said the delay was ok. We know it’s absolutely not right and you all were too gracious to complain. Next year we will give you a great lunch with little wait to no wait the way it has been before. We will refine a plan before the next ride and we will report back to you.  We know we have to provide additional enjoyment to make it up to you.

Our ride was much bigger than last year in numbers and especially donations and money raised for CCM.

Sponsors dollars supporting  $6600
Money collected for CCM      still coming in….. $20,000
Riders attending411
Passengers attending 235
Volunteers sponsors & vendors 55
People in attendance 701

We are truly excited about the big increase in collections as that’s the point of this entire event to raise more money for CCM every year. So congratulations to all the riders collecting pledges, volunteers making this happen, and all our sponsors’ that made this event possible!

Most sincerely
