Eastman ATV 2022 Mid July Update

A big thank you to everyone for attending the ATV Ride for Mom. It was a very successful event, everyone I asked  enjoyed the food, the ride, the uplifting atmosphere everyone created. Seeing so many other enthusiasts come out to support the ATV Ride for Mom was heartwarming to say the least.

The lunch area was an enjoyable place to hang out, to see and hear the many very nice machines that were showing up, along with old and new friends.  Everyone enjoyed the incredible weather we had that day, no rain and all blue skies. All positive comments, no accidents or injuries reported, or that we are aware of and that’s a win too!

The volunteers were committed to make the ride, and event safe, job well done! A very special thank you to all the volunteers, you made the event happen by working hard hard and having fun. I hear most volunteers plan on coming back next year.

I would also like to thank our many sponsors, our ATV community sees your support, and many are your customers. We are grateful to our sponsors who provide the funding to put on the event, to the volunteers of Eastman ATV that provide the manpower to run the event and provide a signed route for the day, and to you, the ridder, who enjoys the ride, and makes a donation to support our cause, “Cancer Care Manitoba”.

Eastman ATV had a ride this last Saturday, Mars Hill / Gull Lake. Epic ride, so much fun, great trails, some hilltop scenic sites, lunch stop at Gull with washrooms and beach for a swim. Close to the end of the ride we found a trail with a good water level that you could easily bypass on dry if you wanted, all in gravel so the water was fairly clean, being familiar with the depth, a few ATVs had some clean fun in the water.

Eastman ATV Next Ride Aug 20th at Seddons Corner
We have many rides to look forward to. All members get email updates on specifics of all rides. From beginner to experienced, come enjoy the full day rides with Eastman ATV. Feel free to ask any questions before or after you join.

Eastman ATV is doing trail maintenance work with a tractor, some of the most aggressive repairs we have ever done. We want to purchase the equipment and not rent anymore. If your company considers a donation of $250- $500 or more, we will put your logo on our Eastman ATV website. Contact me if you are interested in helping Eastman ATV Association Inc.

Do you have a New riding area or Best riding area? Mine would be the Marchand – Woodridge valley ride. We are all interested to know what your favorite ride is, and if I can share your comment.

Did you enjoy the ATV Ride for Mom?

The main reason we have this event is to raise awareness for Breast Cancer, and to financially support Cancer Care Manitoba. This was our 5th successful ATV Ride for Mom. We have one last thing to do before starting to prepare for next year.

Each year we want to provide the same or more funding to Cancer Care Manitoba so that we can be considered a reliable Provincial partner by providing a stream of revenue. This year we have had a generous donation from the Manitoba Metis Federation for $5,000 dollars to CCM. A big Thank you to Manitoba Metis Federation. You are a good friend of ours, and of Cancer Care Manitoba. Now it’s the ATV communities turn to match this $5,000 dollar donation. We are over half way there, with about $3,000 in personal donations, for Cancer Care Manitoba , through Eastman ATV. Please go to our website and make a donation or mail us a cheque for Cancer Care Manitoba, to fight the battle against Breast Cancer. Cancer Care Manitoba has made enormous wins and is such a wonderful help for so many families in the hardest of times. It is one of the best foundations to support!

Eastman ATV April 2022 Update

Let’s get rolling!  A big Hello to the motorized community of Manitoba. The beginning  of our riding season is quickly approaching, so now is the time to ensure that you are really ready. Get your tune-up done, whatever that means for you. At minimal, change your oil, clean or replace the air filter, and check your tires and tire pressure. Remember to order or pick up a new helmet, goggles, gloves, rainwear, or any other supplies you might need. Plan ahead now and prepare for the season, in order to  really enjoy the full experience of being out in the middle of nowhere.

I want to thank everyone who has joined, or will be joining any motorized off-road club in Manitoba. The organized motorized off-road community is the only non-profit trail organization in Manitoba that is completely self-sustaining.

The non-motorized trail organizations are provincially funded by Trails Manitoba and have recently received millions and because of this endowment fund, they are able to  access money as they see fit. Unfortunately, Trails Manitoba does not  support motorized trail organizations. We are aware that another ATV organization applied to Trails Manitoba and was denied funding.  It seems that the off-road community gets the cold shoulder from the Province of Manitoba. If you have any questions as to why, please write to your provincial MP’s and ask them.

The trails & trail systems require significantly more funding in order to properly manage the official ATV Multi Use trails in Manitoba. Eastman ATV and other ORV organizations are committed to making it safer. Because the province is resistant in providing  funding, we do what we can to raise funds: every membership counts. The following  link  will allow you access membership to Eastman ATV. https://eastmanatv.com/product/membership-2022

Eastman ATV has sent out the Ride Schedule for 2022. All members will begin getting  separate emails entitled “Eastman ATV Ride Update ” which will provide specific information about each ride including any revisions or updates made to the scheduled rides. These emails will also inform members of other events supported by the club. This year we have added additional Rides with a different format. They are intended for youth; slower paced and shorter in length than regular rides. We also plan to have an educational component to the ride. As always, more information will be sent  before the rides.

ATV Ride for Mom is a go, register online https://eastmanatv.com/product/2022-ride-for-mom-registration It’s going to be an Epic Ride taking place on June 4th. Signs leaving Marchant will direct you to the registration site, which opens at 9AM. The Ride itself, starts at 10:00 AM (a soft start)

We are pleased to inform you that we have our largest board and RFM committee ever. This  allows all volunteer tasks to be more manageable, however we still need  a T-Shirt person willing to take on the garments.

Eastman ATV members and friends of Eastman ATV, join me in saying thank you to these generous people who give their time and energy to ensure our ATV experience is the best it can be.  A big “Thank You” to the volunteers who have stepped up to the board, and the various additional positions in the last year.

Thank You

Eastman ATV 2022 ATV Ride for Mom – Registration – OPEN

Eastman ATV 2022 ATV Ride for Mom registration is now open at :

https://atvrideformom.com/
https://eastmanatv.com/product/2022-ride-for-mom-registration

Here is your 2022 ATV Ride for Mom day.

On Saturday June 4th, the ride will start east of Marchant MB. There will be signs on the highway and a flag man at the turn off. You will drive until we flag you or you see how the parking is flowing in front of you. Unload, pick up your registration pack, sign the consent form, and enjoy the great scenic trail. It is a gorgeous morning ride, that travels escarpment to low lands and back up to our Eastman staging area!

Lunch break will take place after about 3 hours of riding to lunch stop.  “Danny’s Whole Hog” will be serving a few options for lunch. Our sponsors will have equipment on show, which will be mixed with general parking at the lunch area. This will open up the area and give us more freedom to move around.

Remember to bring some cash as:
1) vendors may have some product for sale,
2) 50/50 tickets will be for sale, and
3) Eastman ATV will have ATV Ride for Mom garments on sale.

The lunch break will also include music, and ATV talk, along with myself “talking up” our sponsors. I will have a few guest speakers again, informal but worthwhile. The ride back will be somewhat shorter, but still a good ride. We have a new version of the “Pink Picture Frame Photo”. It now includes your machine in the photo! I know it’s going to be a great experience this year and hope to see you there.

Please book before June 2, to make it easier for volunteer leaders to make their plans. The more we can plan in advance, the better the event we can deliver. We continue to learn each year on ways to improve the event for you, the rider. Please register online ASAP, as June 4th is soon approaching. We, the volunteers, appreciate it if you can register online well before the day of the event.  It is a rain or shine ride, so please don’t wait to see what the weather has in store for you. Just be ready to go, everybody’s going!  Plan on only bringing what you need for the morning, and afternoon. As always, this ride group has been amazing with “pack it in, pack it out”: (take out whatever you brought into the trail & area). Please be aware that on June 3, the price will increase on all registrations.

Wear Pink! “Pink your Ride” ATV Ride for Mom  brings awareness and funding for Breast Cancer from Cancer Care Manitoba. Enjoy the opportunity to be flamboyant.

One small request, please; When you ask your friends to join you for The ATV Ride for Mom, please encourage them to make a pledge to Cancer Care Manitoba.  Raising money for Cancer Care Manitoba, in the fight against breast cancer, will turn  an enjoyable ride day into a fabulous ride day.  After all, that is what this day is all about. Making a pledge is easily accomplished at the same site that you use to register for the ride. 100% of the Pledges go to Cancer Care Manitoba.
